Base insulation, floor insulation with polyurethane foam
Insulation of the subfloor is of utmost importance, as up to 30 percent of heating and cooling energy can escape through the ceiling.
Closed-cell foam is the best thermal insulation material available today!
Thanks to the vapor-diffusing properties of the foam, the house remains breathable, preventing mold and mildew.
Ceiling insulation reduces noise levels and “booming” ceilings.
Contoured floor insulation is ideal along curved walls, around stairs, pipes, or when the floor is not completely flat and traditional board insulation is difficult to apply.
Closed-cell polyurethane foam can be loaded with sub-concrete, Can be combined with underfloor heating.

FAULTS OF POLYSTYRENE
- It provides weaker thermal insulation than expanded foam. A significantly greater layer thickness is required. It does not provide waterproofing.
- EPS insulation is difficult to fit along pipes, wires, and curved walls. Floor insulation is not seamless, causing thermal bridges.

FLOOR INSULATION FOAM THICKNESS
We generally recommend a minimum of 5 cm of insulation under the concrete base. This thickness replaces approximately 10 cm of conventional insulation material. At this thickness, closed-cell foam already provides noticeable thermal insulation.
We can spray a maximum layer of 20 cm thick from the product. We insulate passive houses in this strength. The closed-cell foam can be walked on a few minutes after spraying!
