Internal roof insulation
The insulation on the inside of the roof plays an important role in thermal insulation and energy efficiency, especially in the case of family houses like the building on Pilisborosjenő, where we chose rafter foam insulation. Insulating the roof plane from the inside helps protect the roof structure as well as heat and moisture control. Here, the customer chose an optimal, 12 cm thick layer of purfoam, which provides a suitable solution for increasing energy efficiency and eliminating thermal bridges.
Why is the internal insulation of the roof important?
Internal insulation of the roof is an excellent solution for those who want to minimize energy consumption and ensure a comfortable temperature in the building. The internal thermal insulation of the roof structure is particularly important in places where heat loss can be significant, for example in attic apartments. Internal insulation protects the roof and contributes significantly to reducing heating and cooling costs.
Insulation of the roof plane from the inside
During the internal insulation of the roof plane, the insulating material is placed directly on the inner side of the roof structure. This method is not only beneficial in terms of thermal insulation, but also helps to protect the roof structure from moisture and the harmful effects of the weather.
Rafter purfoam insulation
During our work on Pilisborosjenő, we used rafter foam insulation, which is the most effective method for internal thermal insulation of the roof plane. The foam fills the spaces between the rafters and eliminates thermal bridges. The customer chose a 12 cm thick layer, which is the ideal thickness to achieve maximum insulation effect while taking up minimal space.
One of the biggest advantages of purfoam is that it adheres tightly to surfaces, eliminating leaks and gaps where heat could escape. This is especially important in the case of insulation between the rafters, as the parts between the rafters are more difficult to effectively insulate with traditional insulating materials.
The result
The 12 cm thick foam layer not only provided outstanding results in thermal insulation, but also increased the protection of the roof structure, preventing moisture from entering. Choosing the optimal thickness guarantees maximum efficiency while not taking up unnecessary space in the interior.
Overall, rafter foam insulation provides an excellent solution in situations where internal insulation is the best solution to protect the roof structure and improve energy efficiency.
